Project Information

Enterprise is modeled after its real-world counterpart the Schwarzkopf Enterprise! The ride features 21 free-swinging gondolas attached to a large flat wheel. As the wheel spins, the gondolas begin to swing outwards, and the main wheel begins to lift up. Riders will experience a near 90 degree inversion when it”s arm is fully extended.

This project remains to be one of my favorites as it calls back to the love and nostalgia of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (RCT2) as well as my home park’s Enterprise model, Six Flags Great America’s The Orbit. Enterprise, being one of the staple thrill rides of RCT2, was something that always resonated with me growing up. For this is the reason why I took the time to reconstruct and remix the RCT2 Rock Style 2 music and have included it in this set. Many of Enterprise’s smaller and more articulate details come from my experience from Great America’s The Orbit ride. I distinctly remember what it felt like to be locked into a cabin, for the wheel to start spinning and lifting, the feeling of the main arm slamming to the ground just before it leveled off, the screeching of the brakes, the list goes on. I’ve tried to replicate a good amount of those feelings, movements and sounds in this project.
