Hexentanz

Project Information

Hexentanz is based off of Zierer’s model of the same name. I had experienced the ride as a child at Minnesota’s Mall of America indoor amusement park. The near-collisions and overtaking motion of the cabins provided a unique experience for me. Revisiting the ride as an adult led to me appreciating its intricacies and unique ride setup. The model itself was fairly difficult to rig and animate, managing a way to keep all cabins upright while having the flexibility on each arms’ motion was a complex task, but ultimately paid off in the end.
