Project Information
Jump² was a highly-requested ride. During the researching phase, I knew there were some complex kinematics. I could create the ride without them, but then it wouldn’t be true to the ride, so the project was put on a hiatus until I felt like I had the skills to recreate the ride faithfully and accurately. When the project entered the modelling phase, I wanted to try out a new animating technique, using animation bones instead of direct transformation animations.
Project Flavor Text
Jump² is a unique thrill ride, really there’s only one IRL. This industrial-looking death contraption powerfully raises its central hub to fling out the “doom claws”. Riders experience amazing airtime at dizzying heights!
